Connect at TIO

We are always developing our support for the health and well-being of our people and adapting to feedback on what would make the TIO a better place to work.

When in the office, our wellness initiatives include:

Employee Assistance Program - Converge

Converge

Free and confidential support offered by our partner, Converge. Support that provides lifestyle and coaching services for you AND your family.

In addition to personal counselling through Employee Assist, you can access five other streams including, career, money, lifestyle, conflict, and manager assist.

Our Social Committee promotes positive social well-being for all employees through a range of diverse events and activities - both virtual and in person!

There is a yearly calendar that has events such as social nights, competitions, awards night, and a Christmas Party, all at no cost to you!

Generous Leave Provisions

Annual Leave

For Full-Time TIO employees 28 days of annual leave is accrued (that’s 8 more than the National Employment Standards). Part-time employees accrue annual leave on a pro-rata basis based on hours worked.

Parental leave: For primary carers, 16 weeks paid for mothers giving birth and 11 weeks paid for partners. This is in addition to unpaid leave entitlements.

Other leave options are available such as Study Leave (exams), Gender Affirmation Leave, Blood Donor Leave.

TIO also recognises our vibrant and multicultural organisation where we will support requests for leave to acknowledge Cultural and Religious holidays that may not be observed in Australia as a gazetted Public Holiday. We also celebrate these holidays in the workplace to promote awareness and inclusion.

Salary Packaging

As a not-for-profit organisation, we are recognised as a ‘rebatable employer’ by the Australian Tax Office (ATO) which means we can offer salary packaging. This initiative can provide beneficial tax savings for many people. We offer general salary packaging, solutions cards and novated leasing of cars.

We recognise great employee performance that’s in line with our values and also service recognition. Our annual awards night acknowledges and recognises our team members that have made a positive impact on our organisation.

The outstanding efforts of our team members are celebrated with individual "YAY" nominations from their peers for going above and beyond in their role.

Green Office

Green Office

We have a light, bright office with a 4.5 star energy rating. We have plenty of natural light surrounding our workspace looking out to parts of Docklands.

If you catch the train into the office, we are conveniently located close to Southern Cross Station. 

If you prefer to ride, run, walk or roller-skate your way into the office, we have access to End of Trip building facilities which includes washroom and shower facilities, towel service, garment drying cupboards and bicycle rack access. three stream recycling waste program and an array of plants to promote health and well-being.

If you enjoy the convenience of cruising into the office with your own vehicle, paid parking is available in the building or in surrounding car park facilities, at your own expense.

With an array of coffee shops, eating spots and walking tracks - you won't have any issues finding something to do during your breaks or lunch breaks.
